How are you enjoying your MU installation?

Yes, some of the main core WordPress developers also maintain MU led by Donncha. Yes, MU tracks WordPress very closely and the differences are isolated for maintainability.

The 'one blog = one user' and 'users without blogs' was how the software was originally designed way back when.

hmm, 'users without blogs'. now there's a name for a band if I ever heard one. :)

Hope to see you soon on the MU support forums.

Yes, the FAQ on the Lyceum website is slightly inaccurate where it talks about the difference between WPMU and Lyceum. The FAQ states that, like you said, WPMU blogs can only have one user, and can't have users without a blog. This has since changed, and you can sign up on a WPMU installation and select "Gimme a blog" or "Just a username, please".
